You will be an excellent fit for this position if you have: Generally, the candidate should have strong JavaScript/TypeScript automation experience, preferably with Playwright, but we would accept similar technologies such as WebdriverIO/Cypress. (as long as their technical abilities are strong). You should have: Advanced understanding of test automation for testing web /mobile applications and websites along with associated technologies – HTML, JavaScript, CSS. Experience with Playwright/WebdriverIO/Cypress is essential. Experience in Continuous Integration/Delivery. Azure DevOps (preferably), GitLab, GitHub actions. Experience creating pipelines with YAML. Experience with mobile automation. Experience writing Unit, Integration, API, and UI tests. Experience building test frameworks from scratch. Advanced Experience with test automation tools and strategies. Proven JavaScript/TypeScript experience. Experience with TDD. Experience working with JSON. It would be a bonus if you also had: Experience leading/collaborating with other team members. Experience working/testing any SaaS platform or understanding of what they are and how they work would be desirable. Experience using JIRA. Experience with Docker. Here are some of the things you’ll be working on: Working close with developers to ensure that quality is considered, and they are creating the right kind of tests, adding extra where the coverage falls short. Ensuring the backlog of test automation is completed. Creation of automated tests new or old including for defects found as well as conversion of current manual tests. Create in-depth automation scripts for testing the software/application. Build/add/maintain the backlog of unit, Integration, UI, Mobile, API tests. Managing, maintaining, and customizing the automation framework/tools. Assisting with debugging. Maintaining the deployment pipelines. Working with other members of the Engineering team including but not limited to developers, DevOps, product managers and QA. Purpose of the role The SDET will perform test automation procedures on the Web /Mobile Application Software using tools available to improve overall test coverage for their stream. This person will be working with developers, architects, and QAs in the team, involved highly in team participation, working closely to complete all things technical in the given timeframe, to ensure a working & fully functional shippable product is released and constantly maintained. You will be responsible along with the other SDET’s, for maintaining the in-house test automation frameworks and deployment pipelines with improvements where necessary.
