AI Strategist

What is the project, and why should you care?

We are seeking an experienced and visionary AI Strategist to shape and lead the company’s AI initiatives at the highest level. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will drive the development and execution of AI strategies that align with Symphony Solutions’ business objectives and long-term vision. 

As a key strategic advisor, the AI Strategist will identify transformative opportunities and ensure the successful application of AI to create impactful client solutions and organizational growth. 

This is a contract-based, part-time position.

You will be an excellent fit for this position if you have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in AI strategy, machine learning, or related roles, preferably in IT outsourcing or software product development environments
• Knowledge of modern AI-related standards, including the EU AI Act and similar frameworks
• Knowledge of the company’s AI-related standards and policies, as well as the development and implementation of new policies (together with other departments)
• Proven experience in leading AI transformation projects and delivering measurable business outcomes
• In-depth knowledge of AI/ML technologies, platforms, and frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI solutions, Generative AI tools, and other relevant systems
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to bridge technical and executive-level discussions effectively

Preferred Skills 

• Experience in applying AI in industries such as healthcare, fintech, retail, iGaming, logistics, automotive, IoT, Industry 4.0, or others
• Certification in AI/ML (e.g., Google Cloud AI Engineer, Microsoft AI Engineer) is a plus but now mandatory
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management best practices

Here are some of the things you’ll be working on:

Strategic Leadership 

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with Symphony Solutions’ mission, vision, and business goals Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on AI technology fields and present opportunities, risks, and trends 
2. Define an AI innovation roadmap to enhance the company’s portfolio, streamline internal operations, and differentiate Symphony Solutions in the market
3. Define projected investment cost for AI strategy and roadmap implementation 

Business Development and Opportunity Identification 

1. Collaborate with the CEO, TechOffice, ECDs, and development teams to uncover AI-driven opportunities and refine AI Services value proposition and offerings 
2. Build compelling business cases for AI adoption in IT outsourcing and product development engagements
3. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activity, and AI technologies that drive business value. 
4. Uncover AI opportunities to enhance existing company clients’ business processes and products 

Execution and Delivery

1. Drive AI Roadmap planning and implementation activities 
2. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and client stakeholders
3. Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and desired business outcomes while maintaining a focus on ROI and scalability
4. Prepare and present PoC (Proof of Concept) or PoV (Proof of Value) for various AI-powered solutions with mapping to existing or new business cases  
5. Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate the performance and success of AI initiatives
6. Build and maintain AI competency requirements and learning path for company employees with essential technology knowledge 
7. Define expertise, type of training, and upskilling required to align company capability to promote AI offerings 

Innovation and Thought Leadership 

1. Serve as Symphony Solutions’ AI thought leader, driving innovation across the organization and with clients
2. Represent the company in conferences, webinars, and industry events, showcasing AI expertise. 
3. Build partnerships with leading AI research organizations, vendors, start-ups, and technology platforms to stay ahead of industry trends

Governance and Responsible AI Practices 

1. Ensure the adoption of ethical and responsible AI practices across all initiatives
2. Develop a strategy to address risk management, bias mitigation, data privacy, compliance, and governance in line with global standards
