Junior Backend (Golang) Engineer

Vivino is the world’s largest online wine marketplace and most downloaded wine app, trusted by over 70 million users to discover and purchase the right wine. Headquartered in Copenhagen and San Francisco, with teams across Europe, the US, and Asia-Pacific, Vivino combines data, community input, and advanced technologies like machine learning to personalize the wine experience.

The project focuses on enhancing Vivino’s backend services and APIs within a cross-functional product development team. The Junior Backend Engineer will contribute to features such as personalized flavor profiling and image-based wine search, supporting the company’s mission to grow its active user base and help people enjoy wine to the fullest. The tech stack includes Go and SQL, and the work culture emphasizes creativity, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

You will be an excellent fit for this position if you have:

1. Technical Skills
   • At least 1 year of experience in designing and implementing APIs (preferably in Go or similar technologies)
   • Ability and willingness to learn Go
   • At least 1 year of experience in composing common SQL queries
