You will be involved in every stage of the development process, from initial design to deployment, focusing on creating a scalable, high-performance backend system that can support the diverse needs of multiple brands. You will be an excellent fit for this position if you have: At least 3 years of experience building backend systems. At least 2 years of experience working with Scala. Experience building RESTful APIs / WebSockets. Proficient in Scala and its ecosystem (e.g., Akka, Play Framework, SBT). Experience working with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, etc. Experience with microservices architecture. Containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL). Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines). Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2) Be able to work in multicultural work environment. Strong problem-solving skills. Self-organized and able to quickly learn new technologies and paradigms. Desirable: Experience with JIRA, and Confluence. Experience with ZIO and/or Typelevel stack (CATS etc.) Experience with Couchbase DB Experience with ElasticSearch Experience in gambling or online gaming. Experience with TDD development processes. Here are some of the things you’ll be working on: New features development within existing product. Communicating with team members and Product team. Resolving technical problems as they rise. Bug fixing of newly developed features (no refactoring of the old code). Writing Unit tests and integration tests. Scrum ceremonies participation. Mentoring middle and junior colleagues might be required.
