Senior IBM MQ Specialist Mainframe

You will be an excellent fit for this position if you have:

• Language: German, English. Active communication in German is preferred. If there is a very high level of technical expertise, then reading and writing is sufficient

Here are some of the things you’ll be working on:

This is about IBM MQ Server and MQ Client on Unix, Windows, and also z/OS. We also use IBM Integration Bus and IBM App Connect Enterprise on Unix. Knowledge of both technologies as well as scripting and Git/Ansible is desirable.

1. Implementation of the customer requirement as described in the respective order:

• If necessary, clarification of the requirements with the customer
• Implementation of the MQ requirements according to customer requirements in accordance with existing specifications
• Test & exemplary connection according to the operating manual
• Development, introduction, and provision of standard procedures and concepts for the MQ products in accordance with existing specifications
• Implementation of quality assurance and optimization measures (failover tests, etc.);
• 2nd&3rd level support in the event of disruptions to product operation for the MQ products, troubleshooting;
• Standard monitoring of the MQ products;
• Installation, and configuration of the MQ products according to existing specifications.

2. Processing of incidents, changes, and bams. The orders are automatically extracted from the corresponding tool by the contractor and subsequently processed:

• Processing of tickets and orders according to existing orders from the Incident, Change Mgmt, and Bams tool
• Independent implementation of regular updates to MQ components
• Independent implementation of orders to rectify safety-critical errors in MQ components in accordance with existing specifications
• Providing on-call services on behalf of customers to ensure the fulfillment of the SLAs agreed upon with customers in accordance with existing specifications (Rather rare, as with the DBA position).
