Oracle Database Administrator (German speaking)

You will be an excellent fit for this position if you have:

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or comparable training
• Several years of professional experience as an Oracle database administrator

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, with fluent German required for direct communication with the end client in the banking sector.
• Operation for Oracle databases from version 11 as well as incident and problem management incl. systematic error analysis and problem-solving
• Analyzing and eliminating faults and vulnerabilities (3rd level support), also in together with other specialist departments and the manufacturer Oracle
• Collaboration in projects and support with problems/customer advice
• Investigating new or changed requirements about their feasibility and complexity and complexity as well as the effects on existing or planned processes, systems, standards, guidelines, etc, standards, guidelines, etc.
• Administration and setup of Single and Oracle Data Guard systems with version 12.2 and 19c with a focus on Linux (RHEL)
• Development & creation of Shell/SQL or Pl/SQL scripts for automation
• Execution and evaluation of performance tests and performance problems, analysis of stat pack and Statspack or AWR reports
• Monitoring of databases, ticket generation
• Backup and recovery, cloning via Rman
• Maintenance and updating of maintenance scripts
• Implementation and documentation of database upgrades to version 12.2 and 19c
• Creation and maintenance of documentation and project/operating manuals
• Good language skills in English
• ASM is primarily used, and administration is carried out with Toad for Oracle or sqlplus, exclusively on Unix systems
• Carrying out database changes, if necessary also at the weekend
• Good team player
• RAC knowledge is an advantage, as is Ansible’s know-how

Additional Requirements:

• German Language Proficiency: As the role involves direct communication with the end client, fluent German is required.
• EU Location: The candidate must be based within the European Union due to client and regulatory requirements.
